STATEMENTS

Our Commitments

At Tucson Living Education, we are committed to fostering a Christ-centered community grounded in Scripture. The following statements articulate our core beliefs and commitment to biblical principles, providing a foundation for a nurturing and respectful environment rooted in our Christian identity.

All families participating at Tucson Living Education must affirm both the Statement of Faith and the Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality.

Statement of Faith

Tucson Living Education is distinctly Christian, rooted in Biblical truth and historic Christian practices. As such, the school requires all families and faculty to adhere to the school’s statement of faith, which is the Nicene Creed, a statement affirmed universally by professing Christians around the world.

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen,

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten not made, one in being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.

We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.

Amen.

Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality

Tucson Living Education recognizes marriage as a sacred institution ordained by God. Therefore, we affirm the Scriptures, which are the infallible Word of God, and their express definition of what marriage is, that is, a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, as instituted by God in creation and affirmed throughout Scripture (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6, Mark 10:6-9, Ephesians 5:31).

Tucson Living Education holds that all sexual expression outside of the marital covenant between one man and one woman, including, but not limited to, premarital sex, adultery, and homosexual acts, is considered contrary to God's design and is identified in scripture as sin (Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Hebrews 13:4).

Tucson Living Education holds that gender is an immutable aspect of an individual's created identity, divinely established by God as male and female as stated in Genesis 1:27, “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."

Statement on Discrimination

Tucson Living Education will admit students of any race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.

Tucson Living Education will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
